Today is officially the first day of summer, which I cannot be happier about. The longer days keeps me out longer, which makes for more vibrant memories and less time in front of the tube. Summer Style

I tend to wear a lot of solids, and not because I don’t love prints but because I am incredibly picky. The Pyramid Trend

While in England last month, I noticed something strange on the streets. Those punky metal stud embellishments seen up and down the catwalk for the last few seasons are actual permanent fixtures in the crosswalks of London, used as street dividers. Of course, they are much larger and paired with gravel, but they also prove how much “street fashion” can translate to the runways. Here are some fresh takes on the trend.

Summer Style

When I think of summer dressing, I think of light and airy, with touches of gold and sea blues. I adore the breeziness of this Joie dress, especially when contrasted with this colorful Ikat bag. The best outfits tend to be a mix of high and low, vintage and new. (Note: “high” to me is a $250 dress. Anything couture I’ll probably just call “the unaffordable” or “the dream on”.)
